Darren Hulst is vice president of Commercial Marketing for The Boeing Company. Hulst leads a team that markets the company’s family of commercial airplanes and services by understanding market requirements, developing strategic go-to-market strategies, contributing to planning and product development, and supporting market positioning and sales activities. He was named to this role in March 2020.
Hulst joined Boeing in 2005 and has progressed through leadership positions in Marketing including network and fleet planning, sales strategy, market analysis, regional marketing, and market analysis and analytical sales support.
In his previous role as senior managing director and deputy vice president of Commercial Marketing, Hulst led the Market Analysis and Analytical Sales Support team, which produces the annual Commercial Market Outlook – Boeing’s 20-year forecast for air traffic and aircraft demand – as well as analyzing the near-term market and business environment and providing technical sales support for commercial airplane sales. Prior to that position, Hulst was the managing director of China & Northeast Asia Marketing, where he collaborated with airlines, lessors and industry stakeholders to position Boeing products and services in region.
Before joining Boeing, Hulst spent eight years at Delta Air Lines, serving in various management roles in Network & Schedule Planning and Revenue Management. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in Economics and Geography.BACK TO SPEAKER FACULTY
