Mr. Halsor has over 38 years of operational aviation experience that began after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1974. Mr. Halsor earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore Business School in 2000.
Prior to beginning his career as an appraiser, Mr. Halsor flew airliners for Delta Air Lines, Singapore Cargo Airlines and for Korean Air. His last posting was Boeing 747-400 Captain on both passenger and cargo aircraft. He has logged over 15,000 flying hours on almost all of Boeing’s airliners and on the USAF C-130.
In 2011, Mr. Halsor purchased Aircraft Information Services, Inc., an aircraft appraisal firm that has roots dating back to 1980. As the President of the firm, he has overseen thousands of appraisals for commercial aircraft, as well as the engines equipped on commercial airliners. He is a member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading and is recognized as a Certified Appraiser by that organization.
In 2018, AISI merged with Aviation Asset Management Inc. (AAMI) to produce one of the top aviation appraisal firms in the United States. The addition of AAMI allows the combined firms to appraise any aircraft and aircraft engine (including helicopters). The combined firms also have deep knowledge and understanding of the aviation parts market.
Also in 2018, Mr. Halsor became an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers.BACK TO SPEAKER FACULTY
