Scot Struminger is Senior Vice President of Business Operations and Express Technology for FedEx Express.
Appointed on June 1, 2017, Mr. Struminger helps oversee the company’s global Air Operations division, which includes a fleet of more than 650 aircraft and serves more than 375 airports worldwide.
He reports to Greg Hall, Executive Vice President and CEO of Air Operations for FedEx Express.
As SVP, Mr. Struminger leads a team that plays an essential role in the strategic plans to integrate process change with sustainable IT solutions for Air Operations and FedEx Express.
Mr. Struminger’s team is instrumental in the company’s use of Predictive Analysis, Mobile Technology in Flight and Maintenance, Regulatory/Technical Operations/Flight Publications and Records, Flight/Crew Planning Technologies, Fleet Planning/Aircraft Acquisition, and Supplemental Air Operations.
Mr. Struminger was previously Vice President of Airline and Sortation Technology at FedEx Services. In this role, Mr. Struminger provided IT leadership for the largest cargo airline in the world with teams in Pittsburgh, Colorado Springs, Orlando, Memphis and Toronto.
During his 34-year tenure at FedEx, Mr. Struminger has also served as Regional Chief Information Officer for FedEx Canada, and managed IT operations in Field Service, Customer Service, Financial Systems, Human Resources, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Sales, and International Trade.
He has partnered with finance and accounting, managing payroll in excess of $50 million per week and aircraft parts inventory of $2 billion. His expertise in business planning was a key factor in raising and managing capital for strategic projects.
Mr. Struminger earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN.
He is a six-time recipient of the FedEx Five Star Award, the highest company honor. Mr. Struminger has enjoyed tremendous success in his career and is well known for bringing outstanding business results to the IT team and FedEx.BACK TO SPEAKER FACULTY
