Jon Olin

Vice President of Aviation, Americas, DHL Express

Jon began his career with DHL Express in the USA in 1996, when he advanced from staff counsel of DHL Airways, to SVP & General Counsel for Deutsche Post DHL Group in the Americas, overseeing the legal and regulatory work of all Group divisions in the Americas.

In 2010, Jon left DHL to join Southern Air as its Chief Administrative Officer, where he was part of the executive team that built upon DHL’s highly-successful Boeing 777F aircraft platform, subsequently completing a successful corporate turnaround and strategic sale of Southern to Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. Following the sale of Southern to Atlas Worldwide, Jon served three other international wide body all-cargo carriers in various leadership and management roles, including as Senior Vice President of Miami-based 767 all-cargo carrier Amerijet International.

He rejoined DHL Express in July 2019 in his current role as VP of Aviation Americas and has established robust compliance and safety cultures in DHL LATAM Aviation, overseen the launch of the 767 fleet and growth in DHL Aero Expreso (Panama), and forged strategic enhancements to DHL’s North America 767 and other carrier networks.

Jon was a Fulbright Scholar to Spain, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa, a Master’s in Transnational Business Practice from the University of the Pacific, and a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University.
